Stories From Pottery Town

As I walked by the surprisingly not so busy lanes of Pottery Town in Bangalore with a friend to create some portraits, I saw something that you rarely see in a cosmopolitan city, a small rural area of sorts filled with people who have dedicated their lives in moulding clay to create beautiful artifact with their own hands.

I felt like we went back in time, where life wasn’t influenced by technology, and getting their hands dirty was the only way.

As Sherya, entered their workspace, they welcomed her with a wide smile. While I was creating this image by using a camera and flash immersing myself very deep in the world of tech and worrying of not having the right equipment, they continued to create art by giving shape and a new identity to clay.
